eating out, eating in

last weekend jack was lucky enough to be taken out for lunch by his nana in honor of what would have been his great-nana's 93rd birthday.

she never got to meet jack ... and she always maintained that she prefered having girls to boys ... but something tells us she would have gotten an enormous kick out of having this jack in her life.

so ... on saturday, mommy, jack and nana all met up up p.f. chang's for a mid-day repast. and although jack enjoyed the lettuce wrap filling and his chicken fried rice, the real treat was the fortune cookie!

he loved it so much ... he even wanted to eat the fortune!

by the way ... jack's fortune read: "the one sure thing about luck is that it will always change." which jack interpreted as: "you would have bad luck if you got an ice cream cone and your ice cream fell on the ground." who can argue with that?

after lunch, we walked a bit through the mall, and nana was persuaded to buy some chocolate-covered strawberries to be an after-dinner treat.

this time, not only jack got to enjoy .. but annie too.

and jack took clean up duty.
