we had been waitlisted at the nursery school of our choice and mommy was despairing a little bit. it was like being waitlisted for her early decision college choice all over again. and really ... around here ... it seems like it's harder to get into preschool than into a top-ranked university. i swear, some parents are *so* crazy.
but all that changed when we received the phone call offering us a coveted slot, which we accepted without hesitation, natch.
so ... come september, jack will be enrolled two days a week in preschool! it's so exciting, and the added bonus is that now mommy doesn't have to take to her bed with the vapors on the night of the nursery's marquee event -- the international heritage dinner -- as she did when a certain university won a certain ncaa championship the day after her rejection letter appeared.
